Transcription: The fugitive Jean Brunot has stepped forward to give Miriam Tate an alibi. She's been hiding him in her apartment for the last month. Almost as soon as Brunot came in, someone from the FBI called to tell me that both of them are key figures in the Haitian underground attempting to overthrow the current military dictatorship. This explains a lot. Apparently Elspeth brought messages in and out of Haiti this summer for the underground.
